Corofin Co. Clare at the edge of the Burren hosts the World Stone Throwing Championship every year since 2000. The event takes place in Campbell's Yard, Main Street, Corofin. The craic* is mighty and it attracts people from all over the globe.

The participants are challenged to break glasses placed on spikes. There is both a male and female cup and the competition is fierce.

Corofin and Clare are famous for traditional music and dance.  Corofin village holds a traditional music festival yearly. The festival takes place at the beginning of March, the weekend after the Miko Russell Festival in nearby Doolin.
